In terms of achievements on the bowling lanes, there are a few things Richard Groe would still like to do.

Included in his list of goals are a 300 game or an 800 series. He doesn’t care which comes first.

Another of Groe’s goals is history after a memorable night in the Senior League at Albert Lea’s Holiday Lanes, where he rolled his first 700 series.

&uot;I have dreamed of getting a 700 series,&uot; said Groe, a bowler for 20 years who carries an average of 177 pins per game.

Groe was in a groove for his memorable series, registering games of 242, 212 and 258 to finish with 717.

&uot;I was surprised to get a 700 series,&uot; said Groe. &uot;My next goal is a 300 game or an 800 series &045; or whatever comes first in life.&uot;

A member of the amateur bowlers tour, Groe competes in three sanctioned leagues.
