Annie Anderson, 77, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Annie M. Anderson, age 77, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Rev. Dan Baker will officiate. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Annie died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center.

Annie Marie Anderson was born Nov. 9, 1927, to George M. and Luella (Hanson) Bendickson in Mason City, Iowa. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, Iowa. Annie graduated from Emmons High School in 1946. On Jan. 1, 1947, she was united in marriage to Kenneth A. Anderson at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. She had lived in Freeborn County for 65 years. Annie had worked at Land O’Lakes, been a short-order cook at the Standard Truck Stop, and had also been a nurses’ aid. She was the president of the Mother’s Club at Starlight School, 4-H Club Key Leader, president of Church Women, taught Sunday school, and was active in Mission Circle, Bible Study, Home Demonstration Club, and the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Quinlivan of Oklahoma City, and her daughters: Stephanie and her husband Matthew Morley, and Theresa Quinlivan; sons: Dennis and his wife Joan Anderson of Hartland, and their children: Justin and his wife Emilie Anderson, and Lindsey Anderson, and Mark and his wife Debbie Anderson of Benson, and their children: Telsa Anderson, and Andy and his wife Naomi Anderson, and Jeff Anderson; great-grandchildren: Thomas Anderson, Austin& Heidi Anderson, and Jarrod and Kaitlyn Morley; sister, Gladys Bombela of Albert Lea; and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Thomas John Quinlivan; a sister, Gilma and her husband Lawrence Swehla; and a brother, Arthur Bendickson.
