The memorial service for Joanne (Jo) Marie Dupont, of Albert Lea, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church. Mike Ellis will officiate.

Interment will be in St. Theodore’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

Joanne died Monday, April 18, 2005, at her home. She was 62 years old.

Joanne was born April 16, 1943, in Minneapolis, to Joseph H. and Carmen (Sarff) Dupont. She grew up in Frazee and then attended school in Morris where she graduated from high school.

She attended the University of Minnesota for her nursing degree in 1964. Joanne was employed by Hennepin County Medical Center until 1999, then moved to Albert Lea. She just completed five years of service until her recent retirement from Albert Lea Medical Center.

Joanne is survived by her mother, Carmen Dupont of Albert Lea; nieces:

Michelle Boone and her husband Michael and children: Marissa, MaKenzie, Mario and friend Marie; Stephanie Dupont and children:Tia and Joseph Dupont, Lucas Possehl and friend Rebecca; and best companions: Sophie and JoJo.

Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Dupont; and brother, Steven Dupont.

Joanne was dedicated to her family and dogs. She enjoyed spending time with family and special times with friends. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the outdoors.
