Agnes M. Koziolek, age 100,
of Wells, died Sunday, May 22, 2005 at Parkview Care Center in Wells.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells with the Rev. Eugene Stenzel officiating. Visitation will be held at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells on Wednesday, May 25, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and one hour prior to services at church on Thursday with a rosary at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Casimir Cemetery in Wells.
Agnes Margaret Koziolek was born April 15, 1905, the daughter of Jacob and Mathilda (Yokiel) Herman in Minnesota Lake. On Nov. 8, 1927, she was united in marriage to Paul N. Koziolek in Minnesota Lake. The couple farmed in Carlston Township in Freeborn County until their retirement in 1966, when they moved into Wells. Agnes was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. She enjoyed baking donuts, cookies and mints. She especially enjoyed her flower gardens, crocheting and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters-in-law: Mary J. Koziolek and Mary A. Koziolek, both of Wells; foster daughter-in-law, Bertha Churack of Palmer, Mich.; 15 grandchildren: Dennis Koziolek of Wells, Daniel Koziolek of Faribault, Roger Koziolek of Wells, Donna Yokiel
and Dianne Rauenhorst of Easton, Steven Koziolek of Northfield, Annette Kraft of Kenyon, Mike Koziolek and Kevin Koziolek of Wells, Kerin Madson of Walters, Brad Koziolek of Freeborn, Bruce Koziolek of Long Lake, Jamie Koziolek of Wells, Jenine Koziolek of Owatonna, and Kristi Koziolek of Minneapolis; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Loretta Staloch of Wells; and three sisters-in-law: Francis Herman, Sister Janice Koziolek and Angela (Ello) Mosier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, in 1982; two sons: Raymond in 1990, and Luverne in 2001; a foster child, Joe Churack, in 2003; four brothers: Louis, John A., Edward and William Herman; and three sisters: Gertrude Schimek, Alvina Kalis and Elizabeth Cole.
