Chad Edward Wilson, age 20, of Rose Creek, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Mich.
He was born Aug. 28, 1984, to Edward and Mary (Folie) Wilson in Austin.
He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin. A 2003 graduate of Southland High School, Chad was attending Mankato State University for Automotive Engineering.
He loved working on cars, especially his 1993 Firebird.
He enjoyed playing cards, especially Texas Holdem, all sports and hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his parents, Mary and Edward Wilson of Rose Creek; brother, Curtis Wilson of Rose Creek; paternal grandparents: Ralph and Janice Wilson of Austin; aunts and uncles: Dan and Marie Wilson of Austin, Larry and Tammy Wilson of Austin, Diane and Monte Strouf of Lyle, Robert and Donna Wilson of Austin, James and Kris Wilson of Plymouth, David and Beth Wilson of Austin, Terry and Janie Folieof Glenville, and James Folie of Clarks Grove; girlfriend, Nikki Kirkpatrick of Dexter; and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 23, at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin with the Rev. Harold Deye, the Rev. Arvid Jovaag and the Rev. Greg Mannel officiating. Friends may call at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Interment is at East Freeborn Lutheran Cemetery, rural Albert Lea.
