Goodie
passed away at the Elim Home in Princeton, Minn., on Friday, March 13, 2005, with loved ones by her side.
She was born on July 20, 1924, in Yellow Medicine County, Minn., the daughter of Christian and Kaja
Kvale.
Throughout her life she had lived in Washington, Minnesota, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas and Louisiana.
Goodie held such jobs as putting motors in semi-trucks, cutting timber, driving trucks, hauling grain, lumber and farm machinery, managing a restaurant and a print shop, running a huge plastic mold injection machine, and being the parts manager and sometimes mechanic for auto dealers in Minneapolis and Cleveland Ohio.
A quote from an article about her in the Waseca paper in 1970, &uot;Being the first one to ever do something must be pretty old hat to Goodie.&uot;
She married Irving Orlando Olson on July 9, 1966. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She had been a member of the V.F.W. and Legion Auxiliaries and
the Golden Age Club.
She is survived by a sister, Mabel Bandow of Wahkon, Minn.; brother, James Kvale of Balsam Lake, Wis.; and many relatives and good friends.
Goodie
enjoyed her family and the many
good friends she had in her life. She was a very special lady and will be missed by all. Goodie loved music and was very talented at playing the guitar and accordian.
She was also preceded in death by her mother and father,
husband, four brothers and one sister.
We will all remember being one of the
“sheep” in her flock.&uot;
