USC track teams compete at Waseca

WASECA &045; The boys
finished second to South Central Conference powerhouse Waseca, and continue to improve on a weekly basis. Leading the Rebels with first-place finishes were:
Matt Mueller (1600), Brad Tomschin (800), the 4 X 200
team of
Jordan Stenzel, Alex bute, Jacob Elmer, and Tomschin, and the 4 X 400
team of
Alex Ramaker, Jordan Stenzel, Bryan Hauge, and Tomschin. The two Relay teams both posted season best times.
The girls, visibly tired after competing in the state true team meet
Saturday, still turned in some good performances in finishing third.
Becca Bryson (triple jump), Ciara Christenson (300 hurdles) and Amber Erickson (3200) all turned in first-place performances. “Our Girls are tough competitors,” commented coach Kent Viesselman, “But the tank was empty. We’ll get a little rest and be ready for sub-sections Thursday.”
