Diane K. Oldfather, age 60, of Lake Mills, Iowa, died at her home Tuesday evening, June 14, 2005.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 17, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Lake Mills with the Rev. Audrey Young officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Diane Kay (Hubbard) Yost Oldfather was born at Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea on May 6, 1945, to parents Howard H. and Shirley (Nelson) Hubbard. At a young age, she was active roller skating and with Girl Scouts. Diane graduated from Albert Lea High School.
She enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, and flying in her Dad’s airplane. Diane loved to ride motorcycle and was a member of the American Motorcycle Association. She also spent time knitting, crocheting, doing needlework, and sorting through genealogy.
Diane, known as Mimi to her family, cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her six boys and their families: Chad and his wife Shelley and their two sons, Derek and Jacob, of Lakeville, Minn., Chet and his wife Heather and their daughter, Haley, of Lake Mills, Cory and his wife Jen and their children, Conor, Duncan and Kelsey, of Northwood, Iowa, Cody and his wife Cindy and their four daughters, Demi, Jordyn, Ravan and Melody, of Albert Lea, Cade and his wife, Jen, and their children, Sabia, Jordan, Nikki, Anthony, Justis and Chaz of Albert Lea, and the youngest of the six pack, Cole of Lake Mills.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents: Howard H. and Shirley Hubbard.
