The funeral service for E. Myrl Stiles will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Bromeland will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Myrl died on Thursday, June 2, 2005, at the Stewartville Care Center.

She was born on Feb. 26, 1907, in Freeborn County, the daughter of Nels and Frances B. (Honert) Christenson.

She attended Glenville School.

On Dec. 28, 1927, she married Orville Stiles in Freeborn County. Throughout her life they had lived in Hanlontown, Iowa, where she worked at their hardware store, and they later made their home in Albert Lea. She had lived at Senior Court for 30 years. While living in Albert Lea, Myrl had worked at Albert Lea Paint and Hardware. For the past three years Myrl had lived in Stewartville, two years at Root River Estates and for the pas year at the Stewartville Care Center.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Albert Lea.

She is survived by daughter-in-law Mary Stiles of Albert Lea; granddaughters: Sue and her husband Jim Nielsen of Rochester, Shar Wasmund of Freeborn, Sandi and her husband Jay Henrikson of Plymouth, Minn.; great grandchildren: Dillan and Andrea Henrikson of Plymouth, Stephani Terry of Albert Lea, Steve Wasmund of Wells, Sammi Wasmund of Freeborn; great great grandchildren: Damion, Zack and Marissa of Albert Lea; Brothers Warren Christenson of Albert Lea, Roger (Bud) Christenson of Oregon; special niece Joyce Peterson of Eagan, and other nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Orville; her son Myron &uot;Mike,&uot;; infant son Byron; a stillborn son; great-grandson Lee Henrikson; a brother Foster Christenson; and a sister Gertrude Peterson.
