Kurt Knudtson, 40, formerly of Albert Lea

The funeral service for Kurt Knudtson of LeSueur, formerly of Albert Lea, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour before service at the church.

Kurt died Monday, May 31, 2005, at Queen Of Peace Hospital in New Prague.

He was 40 years old.

Kurt was born in Geneseo, Ill., on June 12, 1964, the son of Larry J. Knudtson and Merleen (Redell) Nelsen. He had lived in Albert Lea and Owatonna before moving to LeSueur three months ago. Kurt was baptized in Illinois and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. He graduated from Albert Lea in 1983. Kurt was employed at Viracon in Owatonna.

Kurt enjoyed football, pool, video games, Ford Mustang cars, fishing, fireworks and model cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and friends.

Kurt always had a positive attitude and you could always see him with a smile on his face.

Kurt is survived by his children: Elisha, Tanya, Tabatha and Jonathan Knudtson and their mother, Jennifer Knudtson, all of Albert Lea; father, Larry Knudtson of Geneva;

fiancee, Karla Bruckschen of LeSueur; sisters: Janet and husband Gary Hanson and their children, Kammi and Skyler, of Albert Lea, Kristina Knudtson of Albert Lea and her children, Marcus, Devin and Tanner, and Amber Knudtson

of Albert Lea and her child, Aliyah; brother, Ronald Skou and wife Tara and their children, Joshua and Kaylee, of Blooming Prairie; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Kurt was preceded in death by his mother, Merleen (Nov. 29, 1993); brother, Jerry Knudtson (Jan. 9, 1966); and step father, Gary Skou.
