Donald Tasker, 65, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Donald Dwayne Tasker, age 65, of Albert Lea, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger Haug will officiate. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayview, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Donald died Monday, July 4, 2005, at the Trader’s Market in Elko.
Donald Dwayne Tasker was born Jan. 13, 1940, to William and Viola (Neiswanger) Tasker in Albert Lea. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1958 and Austin Junior College in 1960. Donald married Gen Brandt in 1961 in Mason City, Iowa. They were later divorced. On Aug. 31, 1988, Donald married Marlene Townsend at Grace Lutheran Church. He had been employed at Wilson & Co. for 31 years, many years as a supervisor of the sheep kill and the casing department. Donald was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church and a member of the Elks Lodge and the Rice Lake Izaak Walton League. He was active in sports, an avid hunter, loved to fish, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; three children: Maxine Tasker and her special friend, Mike Heiny of Albert Lea, John Tasker and his wife, Sue of Geneva, and Thomas Norris II and his wife Terri of Mankato; four grandchildren: Jacob and Amy Tasker, and Autumn and Alex Norris; sister, Diane Hoverson and her husband Gary of Glenville; and nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
