Donna Thebiay, 59, Albert Lea

Donna (Libersky) Thebiay, age 59, of Albert Lea, died July 3, 2005, at North Memorial Hospital, Robinsdale, after a couragous battle with cancer.

The funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa, with the Rev. Myrwood Bagne officiating. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the church on Friday. Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home of St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements.

Donna was born in Osage, Iowa, on May 16, 1946, to Harold and Erlis (Everson) Libersky of St. Ansgar, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1964. She married Mark Thebiay in 1967 and was

later divorced. They made their home in Hayward.

Donna worked as a bookkeeper throughout her years and most recently at Thermo King of Albert Lea. Donna’s joy in life came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Harold Libersky.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Engelen and her husband Paul of Golden Valley; her son, Scott Thebiay and his wife Julia of Byron; mother, Erlis Libersky of St. Ansgar, Iowa; sister, Diane Borden and her husband Tom of Oakdale; brother, Steve Libersky of St. Ansgar; granddaughters: Elissa, Danielle and Madison Engelen of Golden Valley; and nieces and nephews.

Donna will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
