Kenneth Schwebke, 67, Brownsdale

Kenneth W. Schwebke, age 67, of Brownsdale, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
He was born June 5, 1938, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Arthur and Opal (Sheldon) Schwebke. Ken graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1956. He married Nancy K. Apland in Parkersburg, Iowa, on June 11, 1957. Together they owned and operated the Austin Montgomery Wards Store until 1978. Ken took employment with Northland Buildings as a sales representative and remained with the company until the time of his death. Ken enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family,
farm life, and his work.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with The Rev. Ron Barnett officiating. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be held at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m., and on Thursday at the church one hour before the service.
Organist will be Neal Erickson, Soloist will be Ce Ce Kroc.
The honorary bearers will be his grandchildren: Kandace Feist, Christopher Mortensen, Kristen Waldee, Bo Mortensen, Clinton Thomas, Dustin Schwebke, Ryan Waldee, Katrina Thomas, Lisa Schwebke, Amy Mortensen and Lindsay Schwebke
The casket bearers will be: Stephen Schwebke, Rick Waldee, Curt Schwebke,
John Arens, Don Schwartz and James Zanke
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Schwebke of Brownsdale; children: Curtis Schwebke of Los Gatos, Calif., Susan (Rick) Waldee of Owatonna, Lori (Orrin) Mortensen of Geneva, and Stephen (Karla) Schwebke of Fairmont; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers: Keith (Dawn) Schwebke of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Dean Schwebke of Deer River; sister-in-law, Judy (John) Schwartz; and several nieces and nephews.
