Tammy Hughes memorial benefit meeting Wednesday
Published 12:00 am Sunday, August 14, 2005
An organizational meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Grace Lutheran Church (lower level) to raise funds for the children of Tammy Hughes, who lived in Albert Lea.
Thirty-year old Tammy passed away in May, a victim of a violent crime.
All interested persons are encouraged to attend this informational meeting.
The benefit efforts will help Tammy’s children (5-year-old Sarah and 4-year-old Jonathan) pay for expenses involving their mother’s funeral/headstone with any remaining proceeds to be used for their future needs.
Details for an October benefit event will be organized with plans to include a silent auction.
(Area businesses and residents will be asked for donations of items for the auction.)
Otherwise, cash donations can be sent to:
Tammy Hughes Family Memorial Fund, 437 Bridge Ave., Albert Lea.
Anyone wishing more information may call Linda Petersen at 297-5353, Nancy Cooper at 325-2337, Jennifer Redman at 473-0265 or locally at 377-3671.
American Express Financial and Security Bank are combining efforts for this fundraising event.
