Delmar C. Schmitt, beloved husband, father, grandpa and great-papa, age 78, of St. Paul.

He was preceded in death by Parents, William & Hannah; brother, Laverne; and sister, Wilma Wampler.

He was beloved husband of Bernice (nee Nelson) for 57 years; caring father of David (Chris), Lynn (Mary Kay), Kevin, & Scott (Laurie); loving grandpa of Jason (Renee), Amy VanZee (Mike), Ben, Ian, Matt, Mary Claire, Emily and Nicholas; great-papa of Hayley, Jack, Sofia, Tiffany & Jacob; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Friday 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 655 Forest Ave., St. Paul. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
