Loretta Staloch, 90, Wells

Loretta Bernice Staloch, age 90, of Wells, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Albert Lea after a battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells with Father Eugene Stenzel officiating. Visitation will be held at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells on Monday, Sept. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service, and one hour prior to services at church on Tuesday, with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Casimir Cemetery in Wells.
Loretta Bernice Staloch was born Oct. 27, 1914, the daughter of Jacob and Matilda (Yokiel) Herman in Danville Township, Blue Earth County. Loretta graduated from Minnesota Lake High School in 1932. On May 2, 1939, she was united in marriage to Anthony Paul Staloch in Wells. She was a long time resident of the Wells area. She was employed at Banquet Foods for 13 years before retiring prior to her illness. She resided at The Shepherd s Inn in Wells the past 3 1/2 years. Loretta enjoyed crocheting, quilting, playing cards, the Minnesota Twins and visiting with her many friends and relatives in the Wells area. But most of all, Loretta loved to care for and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Loretta is survived by her children: Marlene and husband Don Schultz, Janice Staloch, all of Faribault, Cliff and wife Susan Staloch of Grand Prairie, Texas, Rosanne and husband Steve Klingman of Owatonna, Donna Staloch of Oakdale, Minn., and Bonnie Stenzel and Dan Jacobson of Wells; seven grandchildren: Christine, Marc, Dayna, Mike, Ted, Steve and Jay; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony; four brothers: Louie, John (Jack), Edward, and William; and four sisters: Alvina Kalis, Gertrude Schimek, Agnes Koziolek and Elizabeth Cole.
