Sharon Offenhauser, 65, Elysian

Sharon A. Offenhauser, age 65 of rural Elysian, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005 at her home.
funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Smiths Mill, with Rev. Keith Bilitz officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca, and will continue on Friday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Society.
Sharon Ann was born on Sept. 2, 1940, in Albert Lea, to Phillip and Mabel (Stoen) Henry. She graduated from Albert Lea High School, Class of 1959. Sharon was united in marriage on June 3,
1959. to Wayne Harlan Offenhauser in Spirit Lake, Iowa. For over 20 years Sharon and Wayne resided in the St. Paul area before moving to rural Elysian in 2000. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Smiths Mill. Sharon was the proud mother of three children, and ten grandchildren. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, and watching the sun set.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Offenhauser Sr. of rural Elysian; by three children: Wayne Offenhauser Jr. of Mounds View, Steve (Sharon) Offenhauser of Cottage Grove, and Serena (Matthew) Ruzicka of Cannon Falls; by ten grandchildren; by her siblings: Genille ( Pete) Mariner of Mason City, Iowa, Pat Dollum of Albert Lea, Phillip (Arla) Henry of Waseca, Suzie (Robert) Troska of Clever, Mo., Tom Henry of Coon Rapids, and Sarah (Dave) Eikenberry of Englewood, Fla.; and by her mother-in-law, Myrtle Offenhauser of New Richland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by two siblings: Phyllis Kedziora and Robert Henry; and by her father-in-law, Lawrence Offenhauser.
