Panthers run well, improve times at the Waseca Invitational

WASECA &045;&160;The NRHEG cross country teams had strong showings in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions as each runner improved on their individual times at the meet in Waseca, Thursday.

Karla Lewer had another good meet and finished in 16:05 to place ninth overall. Heather Schmit finished 37th, Megan Borchert was 39th and Kelly Byron placed 40th to round out the varsity squad.

On the boys’ side, Ben Waldhauser completed the course in 17:50 for 19th place. Josh Beatty came in 23rd, Nick Beatty 30th, Nic Barnett 33rd, and Grant Ver Hey finished 34th.

The next meet for the Panthers is Tuesday at USC/AC which will take place at the Oak View Golf Course.
