Referendum for G-E schools proposed

The Board of Education of Glenville-Emmons School District 2886 proposes a referendum to renew a general education levy that was approved a number of years ago.

This proposal will only approve continuation of a levy that has and would continue to generate $433 per pupil unit. Renewing this general education levy would mean there would be no new property tax over and above what was paid this past year. The vote on the levy will be on Nov. 8.

The reason for proposing to renew this levy is to provide adequate funding to maintain a solid base of educational programs and services for students.
