Funeral services for Edward &8220;Tim&8221; Timothy Whelan will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea.
The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
Tim died on Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at Albert Lea Medical Center.
He was 60 years old.
Tim was born in Albert Lea, MN on Dec. 13, 1944, the son of Martin E. and Clara (Sipple) Whelan. He was a lifetime resident of Freeborn County and was a graduate of Ellendale High School where had been active in wrestling and football. Tim had worked as a salesman for Bill Olson and Clements Chevrolet. He was a farm boy. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee farming, car collecting, snowmobiling, and playing pool and darts.
Tim is survived by two brothers, Dennis (Alice) Whelan of Albert Lea, and Lewis Whelan of Mora; two sisters, Laurel Whelan of Mankato, and Peggy Whelan of Motley; pet dog, &8220;Spike&8221;;
and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill; and two sisters, Clara and Mary Pat.
