Jerry Clark, 64, Mason City

Memorial services for Jerry Scott Clark, age 64, of Mason City, formerly of Glenville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Kensett, Iowa. The Rev. Tom Martin will officiate. Burial will be at the State Line Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Freeborn County servicemen’s organization. Friends of the family may greet them today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.

Jerry died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at the Muse Norris Hospice, Mason City.

Jerry S. Clark was born on Sept. 12, 1941, in Iowa City. He attended several years of high school and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his discharge he returned to Iowa and Minnesota where he did carpentry work and was a truck driver. On July 10, 1969, Jerry was united in marriage to Alliedell Smith in Canton, S.D. Jerry re-enlisted in the Army in 1974 retiring from the service in

1983. He enjoyed gardening and canning from his garden and growing gladiolas. Jerry and Allie

moved from Glenville to Kensett in 2001. He served on the city council in Kensett and was a member of the Kensett Lions Club. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and the last few years he devoted himself to caring for his ailing wife, Allie.

Jerry is survived by his children, Annette and husband Charles Fairchild, Waynesville, Mo., and son Curt and wife Lisa Clark, Albert Lea.

Grandchildren:

Amanda and husband Matt Natur, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Jonathon and Douglas Clark, Albert Lea, Chuckie Fairchild, Washington and Zach Fairchild, Waynesville. Great-grandson, Curtis Natur, sisters;

Ruthie and husband Russell Newton, Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Florence Jones, Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Penny, wife Allie and four brothers.
