Alice Jerlow, 91, of Oklahoma City

Alice E. Jerlow, 91, of Oklahoma City, Okla. slipped peacefully away on Nov. 30, 2005, surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 29, 1914, in Ellendale, the daughter of Erick and Katherine (Thorsen) Ellingson. She married Lloyd P. Jerlow on Oct. 10, 1942. He preceded her in death along with nine siblings and 3 grandchildren. She is survived by son Tom Jerlow and wife Cherry, son Jon Jerlow and wife Maria, daughter Jeanne Moore, sister Catherine Christianson, brother Elmer Ellingson, brother Mick Ellingson, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Navae Hospital, Albert Lea as a registered nurse in 1938. She and Lloyd were charter members of Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. After several moves they settled in Oklahoma City and became members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where she was active in the Altar Guild and Choir and she spent many years cooking for their annual Scandinavian smorgasbord dinner. She also enjoyed membership in the Porcelain Artists of Okla. and the Wilshire Weeders Garden Club. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and made many memories shopping, garage sale-ing and playing in rainwater. She was an excellent cook and she always loved being around the table with all of her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3500 N. Meridian. Services under the direction of Mercer-Adams, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK.
