Funeral services for Mildred J. Hansel, age 83, of Albert Lea will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday Dec. 28, 2005, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate. Burial will be at the Chatfield Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the chapel.

Mildred died on Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Mildred Joyce (Horner) Hansel was born on Aug. 24, 1922, in McGregor, Minn., the daughter of Ira and Hazel (Day) Horner. On July 3, 1945, she was united in marriage to Roland Hansel in Walker, Minn. After their marriage they lived in Grand Rapids, Aitkin and Palisade, Minn. The couple moved to Albert Lea in 1972.

Mildred is survived by her son, Dennis and wife Lois Hansel, Albert Lea and daughter Doris and husband Jack Engesetter, Mountain Home, Ark. Eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and two brothers and one sister.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roland in 1995 and 12 brothers and sisters.
