Mildred Misgen, 92, of Albert Lea

The Funeral Service for Mildred E. Misgen, of Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Lynn Borgeson will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mildred died on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at the Good Samaritan Center. She was 92.

She was born on Sept. 23, 1913, in Steele County, the daughter

of William and Esther (Kating) King.

She graduated from Ellendale High School.

She was united in marriage to Lyle Misgen on in July of 1935, in Albert Lea.

In the early 1970’s Mildred served as housemother for the dorms at the nursing school in Albert Lea. She later worked at Lakeside Cafe for more than 17 years.

She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church.

Mildred enjoyed fishing and camping vacations up north with her daughter Barbara and son-in-law Jack and family for many years. Mildred found much pleasure in playing bingo and working crossword puzzles. She will be remembered for her elegant hand writing.

Mildred is survived by her daughter Barbara J. Haeska, of Brainerd, Minn.; her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she enjoyed doting on: Mark Haeska and his wife Barb, of Albert Lea; Michael Haeska, of Baudette, Minn.; Mary Wendelboe and her husband Wade, of Albert Lea; great grandchildren: Jennifer and her husband Micah Hradlo, Adam Haeska and Alec Wendelboe all of Albert Lea.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister in infancy, husband Lyle in 1969, son-in-law John &8220;Jack&8221; Haeska 1991.
