The funeral service for Leigh D. Hoyne of Brainerd, formerly of St. Louis Park, was held at the Gearty Delmore Park Funeral Chapel, with interment at the Pleasant View Cemetery, St. Louis Park.

Leigh was born Feb. 9, 1917, to Byran E. and Eunice (Stevens) Hoyne in Albert Lea. She passed away in Brainerd on Sept. 28, 2005.

Leigh attended school in Albert Lea through her junior year in high school when she moved with her family to Minneapolis in 1934. She graduated from high school there in 1935. After business school, she worked in the office of the Greyhound Bus Co., retiring in 1984. Later she moved to Brainerd.

Leigh is survived by a sister: Bonnie L. (Hoyne) Smale and husband Jerald D. Smale of Cross Lake. She is also survived by two nephews: Jerald D. Smale Jr. of Eden Prairie and Jeffery Smale of Seal Beach, Calif., and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister.
