Rollin Harrison, 79, of Albert Lea

Graveside services for Rollin E. Harrison (Rollie) of Albert Lea, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, at Graceland Cemetery.
Rollin died on Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, at the Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 79.
He was born on June 20, 1926, in Albert Lea, the son of George and Olga &8220;Olson&8221; Harrison.
He graduated from Albert Lea High School.
Rollin served our country in the U.S. Navy.
He married Lois Wright on June 13, 1948, at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. He later married Adelia &8220;Dee&8221; Lunning on July 3, 1962.
Together he and Dee owned and operated the Avalon Cafe in Albert Lea. He later was a salesman for Famous Brands Liquor traveling to many communities in southern Minnesota. He had also worked at Minnesota Corrugated Box and restored the body work on many classic cars.
He was a forty year member of the Elks. Rollie enjoyed cars, he loved taking long rides and restoring the classics.
He is survived by his daughter Peggy Harrison and her fianc Craig Blaha of Waseca, sister-in-law Ellen Harrison of Albert Lea and her family Richard (Rex) Harrison and his wife Diane of St. Louis Park, Susan Harrison Hanson and her husband Tom of St. Paul, Mary Harrison Johnson and her husband Joel of Burnsville; and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by brother-in-law Kenneth Lunning and family of Oshkosh, Wis. and sisters-in-law: Marian Traverso and family and Elizabeth Lunning and family of Clarks Grove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife &8220;Dee&8221;, brothers Ramone and Richard &8220;Buddy&8221; and sister Dolly Nelson.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor and always having a joke in his pocket.
In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the Cancer Center at the Albert Lea Medical Center.
