Ronald &8220;Christy&8221; Earl Christenson, 67, of Upland, Calif., passed away Jan. 13, 2006, at San Antonio Community Hospital, Upland.

He was born April 30, 1938, in Hollandale and was an Upland resident for 42 years. Ron was a retired truck driver and member of Grace Lutheran Church of Upland. &8220;Christy&8221; was a loving husband, father and grandpa.

After graduating from Albert Lea High School, Ron proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved camping and his family.

Ron is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years, Jo Anne; two daughters: Julie Anne Christenson, Paula (Steve) Jean Larson; one grandson: Kyle Larson, all of Upland; one sister: Terri Peterson of Albany, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Although he will be greatly missed, there is joy in knowing he found peace. The memorial service was Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church of Upland. Inurnment was private.
