Colleen (Ringham) Vossen, 77, of Maple Grove

The funeral service for Colleen M. Vossen will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before service at the church.

Colleen died on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at her home in Maple Grove. She was 77 years old.

Colleen was born in Wells on Feb. 10, 1929, the daughter of Vern T. and Mabel (Olson) Perry. She attended Albert Lea High School. She was married to Don Ringham. To this marriage three children, Christine, Kevin and Cathryn were born.

They moved to St. Louis Park in 1961, where they raised their three children.

Colleen was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, St. Louis Park.

married Richard Vossen on April 30, 1983, in Fairhaven, Minn.

Colleen had worked at Dee’s Grill, Wilson Co. and Skinners in Albert Lea.

She loved dancing, going to casinos, race tracks and shopping at Thrift Shops. She loved traveling with their fifth-wheel and going fishing. Colleen gave of herself through all of her care giving.

Colleen is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters: Christine Strong and husband, Jerry of St. Louis Park, Cathryn Chandonnet and husband, James of Maple Grove, Minn. Five grandchildren: Heather (Jason) Lewis of Phoenix, Ariz., Ryan (Sara) Strong of Blaine, Minn., Shawna Chandonnet of Fridley, Minn., Christopher Chandonnet of Fridley, Minn.,

Jessica Ringham of Richfield, Minn.; step grandchild: Todd Chandonnet of Coon Rapids, Minn.; four great grandchildren: Isabella Lewis, Bailey M. and Zachery T. Strong,

McKayla Cathryn Chandonnet; sister: Yvonne (Bonnie) Latham of Albert Lea, Minn.; brother: Ken Perry and wife, Myra of Lincoln, Neb.; uncle: Dean Perry of Lincoln, Neb.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don Ringham in 1978, son, Kevin in 1977, step grandson, Tim Chandonnet in 2001.
