Duane Gold, 67, of London, Minn.

Funeral services for Duane Russell Gold of London, Minn., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea. The Rev. Philip A. Lewison will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Mr. Gold died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at the Austin Medical Center. He was 67 years of age.
Duane was born April 8, 1938, in Albert Lea, the son of Russell and Nora (Nelson) Gold. He attended public school in Albert Lea. He was a Freeborn County resident all of his life. On June 15, 1958, he was united in marriage to Helen Nelson. They were later divorced. On Dec. 14, 1985, he was united in marriage to Carol Fait in Albert Lea.
Duane was employed as a truck driver for many years for Barry Jacobson Trucking and for Emil Olson. He had also been employed by Farmstead for 13 years.
Duane was a member of the Eagles Club in Albert Lea. He enjoyed gardening and yard work on his John Deere Tractor. He loved to care for his car and truck and spend time in the outdoors and fishing. His grandchildren were also the love of his life.
Duane is survived by his wife, Carol of London, Minn., children Jody Gold of Columbus, Wis., Jerry and Belinda Gold of New Richland, Gary and Karin Gold of Stoughton, Wis., Judy and Layton Searight of Arena, Wis., Tim Gold and his friend Beth Anton of Waunakee, Wis., DeeAnn Neubauer of London, Minn., Paul and Lawanda Neubauer of Henderson, Texas, Dawn Saltou of Austin, and Michael Neubauer of Ft. Myers, Fla.; grandchildren Tyler and Hunter Walhovd, Zack and Janice Walhovd, Brittney, Dustin and Grace Gold, Chance Neubauer, Katryna and Steven Saltou. Great grandchildren Timothy and Sebastian Walhovd; one brother Paul and Rose Gold of Albert Lea; sister-in-law Shirley Gold of Austin; and his first wife Helen Gold of Oakland.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Gordon, Kenneth and Thomas.
