Ernest Hensche, 93, formerly of Alden

Funeral services for Ernest A. Hensche, age 93, formerly of Alden will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake. The Rev. Wendy Anderson will officiate. Interment will be in the Concordia Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the Church.
Ernest died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at Parkview Nursing Home in Wells.
Ernest August Hensche was born July 24, 1912, to Charles and Minnie Hensche in Alden
Township. He was baptized and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake and attended District #130 Country School. On April 25, 1935, Ernest was united in marriage to Gertrude M. Greenfield at the Mansfield Lutheran Church. After retiring from farming, the couple moved to town in 1967. During retirement, Ernest worked for Banquet Foods in Wells for 10 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Elaine (Norman) Larson of Alden and LeAnn Hensche of West St. Paul; sons, Dennis (Jackie) Hensche of Bloomington and Wayne (Karen) Hensche of Grand Marais; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gertrude; sister, Carrie Stern; and brothers: Bill, Walter, and Albert Hensche.
He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
