Kay Rezac, 67, of Albert Lea

The funeral service for Kay Rezac of Albert Lea will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Benson Funeral Home, Northfield, Minn. Visitations will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and also 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Benson Funeral Home in Northfield, Minn. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Northfield, Minn.

Kay passed away in her home in Albert Lea on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006. She fought a long battle with emphysema.

Kay was born to Percy and Hagney (Ebbesson) Morrison on July 19, 1938 in Dennison, Minn.

She graduated from Northfield High in 1956.

Kay was united in marriage to Lawrence Rezac on April 26, 1958 at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church.

Together they were involved in Jaycees and Fund Raisers all in Northfield.

Kay ran her own tax service in Northfield and also helped Larry in his bakery and catering business.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield.

In 1979, along with family, she moved to Albert Lea.

Here she became an Eagles Auxiliary member.

Later, moved to Creston, Iowa and then to Cherokee, Iowa due to Larry’s work.

In 1992, she moved back to Albert Lea.

Here she worked for Nelson’s County Market and REM (Mentor) where she retired in 2001.

She and Larry did many things together.

She especially enjoyed going to the Casino and playing bingo at various places.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; son, Jerry and wife, Deb; daughter, Dawn and husband, Ron Walk Jr.; three granddaughters, two grandsons and one great-granddaughter; brother, Arthur Lyman of Burnsville, Minn. and his children: Ray, godson Joe and Sue.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Morrison, Hagney Lyman, step-father, Art Lyman and brother, Harry Morrison.
