Orville Truesdell Jr., 59, of Albert Lea

Memorial services for Orville S. Truesdell Jr., age 59, of Albert Lea will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, at Christ Episcopal Church. The Rev. James Young and Deacon Jake Loper will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, at Bayview/ Freeborn Funeral Home.

Orville died on Friday, March 24, 2006, at his home in Albert Lea.

Orville Sidney Truesdell Jr. was born on Feb. 5, 1947, in Albert Lea, the son of Orville and Lucille (Breuer) Truesdell. He moved to St. Paul with his parents in 1959. They then moved to Rapid City, S.D. in 1962. Orville and his parents moved back to Albert Lea in 1974. For the Last 26 years Orville has resided at REM Woodvale in Albert Lea. He had been employed by Alpha in Albert Lea, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. Orville was a very spiritual man. He had a love for music and for people.

Survivors include his sister Beverly Blakeslee and her husband Jerry, of Albert Lea, nieces and nephews Colin and Sue Minehart, Paul and Lisa Minehart, Thomas and Laurie Minehart, Jason Blakeslee, and Barb and Scott Reynolds all of Albert Lea; Nancy Minehart of Roseville, Scott and Diane Truesdell of Clarks Grove, Brian Truesdell of Iowa, Erica Truesdell of Albert Lea; uncles William and Phylane Breuer Jr. of Wasilla, Alaska, and Lemoyne Breuer of Wahpeton, N.D.; aunt Elizabeth (Breuer) Boerner of Albert Lea; honorary brother Jim and Debbie Pilgrim of Albert Lea; sister-in-law Mary (Truesdell) Schilling; grand-nieces and grand-nephews; as well as so many other cousins and friends who loved and knew him well.

Orville was preceded in death by his parents, Orville Sr. and Lucille Truesdell, his brother Harold Truesdell, nephew Mark Minehart, grand-nephew Corey Holman, many aunts and uncles, and his special honorary aunt and uncle Hazel and Roy Pilgrim.

Thanks to the Woodvale staff that have cared for Orville over the last 26 years. A very special thanks to William.
