Ronald (Ron) Andrew Grabau: I was born on Feb. 16, 1985, to Kent Grabau, now of Montana, and Diane Grabau of Albert Lea, in Bellevue, Neb. I lived with my dad and mom, Kent and Mary Grabau in Westmont, Neb., a suburb of Omaha. There I attended Westmont Elementary School, grades kindergarten through sixth grade. I was then home schooled and eventually I finished my high school requirements through correspondence with Continental Academy and received my high school diploma in April, 2003.

I became ill from renal failure in 1999 while living in Nebraska. My kidneys were taken and I received a kidney from my dad in 2001. But that failed too. So, I have been ill for several years and have had dialysis three times a week all these years and have had many complications, including heart problems.

In March of 2002, I moved to Livingston, Mont., with my parents Kent and Mary Grabau. While there I was a firefighter for the Park County Rural Fire Department. In March 2004, I moved to Minnesota and have been living with my special Aunt Pat and Uncle Larry Hauge and my little cousin Dawson. They were so kind to me and did so much for me. The move placed me close to the Mayo Clinic and St. Marys Hospital, both places I have had to visit often and have been confined there long periods of time, many times.

I had some very high interest in electronics, computerized mechanics, and drawing. I also enjoyed being with my brother playing video games, four-wheeling and having camp fire with my family.

Surviving me are my parents Kent and Mary Grabau of Montana, mother Diane Grabau and fianc Larry Hamberg of Albert Lea; brother Keith Grabau of Albert Lea; stepbrother Adam Shannon of Arcadia, Fla.; step-sister Samantha Shannon of San Diego, Calif.; step-niece Madison Renae Shannon of Arcadia, Fla.; my grandparents Mert and Irma Grabau of Owatonna, grandfather Jerome Hauge of Glenville; my special Aunt Pat and Uncle Larry Hauge of Glenville, Aunt Susie and Jay Waalkens and children Heather and John of Glenville; special little cousin and friend Dawson VanRyswyk of Glenville; and my special neighbor friend Andy Fillingness of Westmont, Neb.

I was preceded in death by my grandmother Evelyn Hauge and Uncle Richard Hauge.

I want to thank everyone for being there for me and loving me.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Michaelson Funeral Home, 1930 Austin Road, in Owatonna. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Some day I will have a blessed reunion in heaven with my family and many friends.
