Vehicle travels wrong way down the I-90

Portions of Interstate 90 east of Minnesota Highway 13 were blocked briefly Wednesday morning when a vehicle reportedly caused an accident after driving the wrong way down the freeway. No injuries were caused by the accident, according to the Minnesota State Highway Patrol.

Albert Lea police officers and Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies assisted by directing traffic after the accident. The accident scene was especially dangerous because of the thick fog, police said.

No further information was available from the State Patrol.
