Bernadine Ann &8220;Bea&8221; Voigt, age 75, of Albert Lea, died on Saturday, April 8, 2006, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, Minn. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Bernadine was born on Jan. 22, 1931, in Dunbar Township, Faribault County, the daughter of Jules and Rose (Schroeder) Hendrickson. She attended Wells Public School and graduated from Minnesota Lake High School and then attended Minneapolis School of Business. She was employed by Wilson and Company in Albert Lea. On Oct. 17, 1954, she married Hilbert Voigt at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. They moved to Minneapolis where he worked as a police officer and she was employed by John Deere. They retired in 1992 and moved back to Albert Lea. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fridley and served for many years with the Unity Hospital Volunteers in Fridley. Bernadine enjoyed visiting, cooking, shopping, and did a lot of volunteer work and cooking for the police officers.
She is survived by her husband, Hilbert of Albert Lea; one daughter Jacki and her husband Terril Flanders; and their children Dilon and Samantha Flanders of Des Moines, Iowa. Two sisters: Delores and her husband Ellsworth Bennett of Albert Lea and Myrna and her husband Donald Schulz of Wells; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two children Juli Ann Rose Voigt in 1980, and Randall LeRoy Voigt in 1993; and two brothers: Roger and David Hendrickson.
