GLENVILLE &045; The Blooming Prairie baseball team feasted on Glenville-Emmons pitching Tuesday night putting 16 runs on the board.

The Awesome Blossoms pounded out 20 hits in the game and plated six runs in the sixth inning to end the game on the 10-run rule, 16-6.

Blooming Prairie scored three times in the first, added a two-run home run in the second and tacked on five more runs over the next three innings before finishing the job in the sixth.

The Wolverines, who saw their record fall to 3-2 overall, were led by Wade Flattum who had a pair of doubles in the game and scored twice while Seth Buchanan had two hits and drove in four runs.

G-E, playing its fifth game in eight days to open the season, was never able to slow the Awesome Blossoms down.

&8220;They really put the ball in play and anywhere we had a hole they hit it,&8221; said Wolverine head coach Louie Toulouse.

Logan Hansen took the loss for the Wolverines giving up seven runs &045;&160;three earned &045;&160;in 2 1/3 innings of work.

G-E is now off until April 20 when it travels to face Spring Grove.

&8220;Having four straight games has not allowed us to practice and we need to get some practice in and correct some things,&8221; said Toulouse.

&8220;I think this break is coming at a good time for us.&8221;
