Diane Barbara Redman, age 60, of Alden, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea, from complications of cancer since 2000.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour before the service at the church in Alden. The Rev. Peter Soli will officiate. Burial will be in the Alden Cemetery.
Diane (Tiede) Redman was born May 7, 1945, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Arnold and Ruby (Dornfeldt) Tiede. She was baptized May 27, 1945, at the Mansfield Lutheran Church, and confirmed June 5, 1960, at Grace Lutheran Church in Alden. Diane attended school in Alden where she graduated in 1963. She married Dale Redman on April 24, 1965, at Grace Lutheran Church in Alden. She worked at Wilson & Company, Del Monte, and Mrs. Gerry’s Kitchen. She was a homemaker and made many all-occasion cakes and loved to see the wedding cakes she baked and set up for people. She had been a Cub Scout leader and a member of the Alden Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She loved to plant flowers and watch birds. She loved her family so much there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them if she could, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her family meant everything to her.
Diane is survived by her husband: Dale Redman of Alden; one son: Steven (Mary Jo) and their children, Samantha Kaye, Jordan Rae, and Jack Steven Clifford, all of Maple, Wis.; one daughter: Lori (Jeff) Stenzel and their children, Allyson Ann and Adam Jeffrey, all of Wells; one brother: Jerry (Judi) Tiede of Medford; &8220;one little sis&8221;: JoAnn Stencel of Albert Lea; two brothers-in-law: Wayne (Janet) Redman of Comfrey and Dennis Redman of Alden; one sister-in-law: Lynette Strom of Bricelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
