Extra outs hurt Knights

LECENTER &045;&160;The Alden-Conger baseball team gave LeCenter/Cleveland extra outs in the first inning and paid for it.

The Knights fell behind 7-0 after one and never recovered falling 12-1 in five innings.

The Knights gave their opponents six outs to make three in the first frame.

In all, A-C committed five errors in the game.

Greg Opseth scored the Knights’ lone run in a game where A-C hit the ball hard but seemingly always at a defensive player.

The Knights mustered just three hits in the game.

Matt Bremseth took the loss for A-C walking three in the game and did not strike out a batter.

&8220;It was very windy tonight and when they hit a ball it just seemed to roll forever,&8221; said Knight head coach Faron Bremseth.

The Knights are back in action Friday when they travel to face WEM.
