WANAMINGO &045;&160;Kenyon-Wanamingo took advantage of a Glenville-Emmons defensive miscue in the sixth inning to score four runs en route to a 7-3 victory.

The teams were tied at 3 going into the bottom of the sixth when a dropped ball by with two outs allowed the Knights to get the big inning.

&8220;Our defense did not play well in the game,&8221; said Wolverine head coach Louie Toulouse.

&8220;We had several plays we should have made, but it was cold and windy and that probably had something to do with it.

&8220;We are getting to play a lot of games right now and even through the weather hasn’t been great it let’s us know what we need to work on.&8221;

The Wolverines would get one base runner on in the top of the seventh but weren’t able to get any runs.

G-E began the game strong as Wade Flattum led off with a single, Justin Flattum followed with a double and Seth Buchanan drove both in with a two-out base knock.

Michael Greibrok scored the team’s other run in the third when he singled, stole second and was driven in off the bat of Logan Hansen with another two-out hit.

&8220;We got some clutch hitting we just couldn’t do quite enough,&8221; said Toulouse.

Greibrok pitched the first four inning giving up three runs on six hits and striking out one.

Bridger Bjorklund went the rest of the way giving up just one earned run while striking out two and walking a pair.

The Wolverines (2-1) face Houston in a Southeast Conference matchup in Glenville Monday.
