Lester Goodnature, 86, of Geneva

The memorial service for Lester J. Goodnature formerly of Geneva, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in Geneva Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour before the service.
Lester died April 3, 2006, at the VA Hospital, Phoenix, Ariz. He was 86 years old.
Lester was born June 15, 1919, in Newry Township, Freeborn County, to Joseph and Mabel (Kreegen) Goodnature. Lester married Lucille Lee on Aug. 20, 1952, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Newry Township, Freeborn County. Lester operated the Mobil Bulk Plant in Ellendale. He had lived in Geneva, Minn., and presently Mesa, Ariz. Lester served during World War II as a sergeant in the Army, serving in Panama. He enjoyed bowling, golf and fishing in Oak Lake.
Lester is survived by his wife Lucille Goodnature, Albert Lea; son Barry Goodnature and his
wife Carol of Sturgeon Lake, Minn.; grandchildren: Melissa Jorgenson, Chris Thompson, and Seth Goodnature; great-grandchildren: Scotty, Leken and Levis; sisters: Marie Ferguson and her husband Kenneth of Albert Lea, Blanche Sliger and her husband Richard of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters-in-law: Delores Goodnature of Albert Lea and Eileen Goodnature of Mesa, Ariz.; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Lester is preceded in death by his parents: three brothers: David Goodnature, George Goodnature and Vincent Goodnature; sister: Neoma Johnson.
