Panthers drop Tigers in five

MEDFORD &045;&160;The NRHEG softball team took advantage of seven walks and several errors to get on base against Medford.

Once it got on it never stopped running, stealing 13 bases in a 14-1 victory in five innings.

The Panthers pounded out 10 hits in the game and kept constant pressure on their opponents.

Onika Peterson had a pair of hits and drove in three runs while Mandy Forster also went 2-for-4 in the game with a double.

The Panthers biggest inning came in the fourth when they sent 12 batters to the plate scoring eight times.

Molly Hacker picked up the win for NRHEG going the distance striking out two and walking a pair.

The Panthers improved to 5-1 in the Gopher Conference and 8-3 overall with the win.

They are back in action today at Randolph.
