Ronald Johnson, 56, of Albert Lea

The memorial service for Ronald Johnson, of 1319 Sheridan, Albert Lea, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday April 6, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the church.

Ron died at his home on Tuesday, April 4, 2006. He was 56.

He was born on March 18, 1950, in Albert Lea, the son of Rodger and Donna (Thompson) Johnson. Ron, a lifetime Albert Lea resident, had graduated from Albert Lea High School. He was united in marriage to Coreen Crocker on Oct. 6, 1973, in South Dakota. He had worked at Viracon as a production supervisor since 1987.

Ron was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he had taught Sunday School and was active in choir and the Praise Band. He also enjoyed singing in the Careyaires.

He was an avid hunter,

fisherman and motorcycle rider.

He enjoyed writing and storytelling.

He is survived by his wife Coreen; daughter Laura Johnson of Sheridan, Wyo.; sisters: Debra McCullough and her husband Jim of Glenville, Beth Cole and her husband Garrett of Albert Lea, brother-in-law Kurt Crocker of Malaysia; &8220;our&8221; boys Dustin Gonzales of Mound, Minn. and Gilbert Schuhmacher of Albert Lea; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Bruce Johnson; sister Barbara Johnson; brother Dennis Johnson; and mother-in-law Lou Crocker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or Crossroads Community Hospice.
