Signa Bahl, 90, of Austin

Signa O. Bahl, age 90, of Austin died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at St. Marks Lutheran Home.
She was born Dec. 19, 1915, in London Township, Minn., to Anton and Anna (Olson) Hanson. She attended country school in the London area and was married to Robert L. Bahl on Oct. 14, 1933, in Glenville. They resided in Austin where she was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and the Eagle’s Auxiliary. Signa was an avid gardener who also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and fishing, but most importantly, spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Richard, four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 6, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ron Barnett officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be held at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and at the church one hour before the service on Thursday.
Casket bearers will be Eric Whitaker, Kevin Whitaker, Jason Bahl, Brian Bahl, William Bahl, Peter Bahl, Josh Ruble, and Steven Bahl.
Signa is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Robert and Jeanette Bahl of Austin, Gary and Lois Bahl of Austin, Dennis and Denise Bahl of Austin, daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Terry Foreman of Pearl, Miss., Julie and Geoff Ecoff of Minnetonka, Bonnie and Dan Ruble of Albert Lea, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister: Margaret Campbell of Austin, sister-in-law: Arlene Bahls of Buffalo, and nieces and nephews.
