Memorial services for Brian W. Jahnke, age 33, of Myrtle, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Milt Ost will officiate. Interment will be in the Walters Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at Bayview.

Brian died May 24, 2006, at his home.

Brian Walter Jahnke was born July 8, 1972, to Merriell and Emily (Lukas) Jahnke in Albert Lea. He graduated from Albert Lea High School. Brian had owned and operated Pro-Windows and was planning on returning to school. He enjoyed working on cars, music, playing guitar, reading, watching educational TV, and fishing.

Survivors include his son, Logan Schaub of Glenville; his parents, Merriell Jahnke of St. Paul Park, Minn. and Emily Jahnke of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; brothers, Berry and wife, Tracy Jahnke of Glenville and Doug Jahnke of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister, Lori Jahnke of New Orleans, La.; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Doyle of Ft. Lauderdale; nephew, Cameron Kolbe; niece, Robyn Jahnke; and aunts, Helen Lovik of Albert Lea and Ruth and husband, LaMars Yost of Walters.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Frieda Jahnke, John Lukas, and Michael Doyle.
