The Royals scored single runs in the first four innings and were leading just 5-0 heading into the seventh.

However, Albert Lea struggled most of the night with the bats. The Colonels had just six hits and committed five errors in the game.

Albert Lea would get on the board in the seventh when Jared Butler singled, Zac Oquist doubled and Mike Minehart plated Butler with a RBI groundout.

The team&8217;s second run came in the ninth when Oquist reached on an error, advanced on a wild pitch and was driven in by Derek Goodnature.

Levi Hendrickson led the way at the plate for the Colonels going 3-for-4.

The Royals pounded out 11 hits and took advantage of 10 walks issued by four Albert Lea pitchers.

&8220;We had some control problems with our pitchers and we have to start swinging the bats better,&8221; said Trygstad.

Albert Lea is back in action tonight at the Austin Blue Sox.
