Corina Stoner, 90, of Albert Lea

Funeral services for Corina E. Stoner, age 90, of Albert Lea, will at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dwight Netzer will officiate. Burial will be at Pickerel Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Corina died on Saturday, May 13, 2006, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.

Corina Edna Stoner was born on March 24, 1916, in Pickerel Lake Township the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth (Bailey) Kaufman. She attended rural country school in Freeborn County where she has been a lifelong resident. Corina was united in marriage to Samuel F. Stoner on May 1, 1935, at the Little Brown Church.

She worked for Desoto Produce for many years and enjoyed needlework, reading, playing Yahtze, sightseeing and spending time with her family and friends. Corina was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her children: Dale M. and wife Virginia Stoner of Wichita, Kan., Sondra D. Allen of Albert Lea, Roger L. and wife Regina Stoner of Fredonia, Ariz., Connie F. and husband Gaylerd E. Miller of Emporia, Kan., and Jacqueline K. and Delwen H. Miller of Hartford, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Corina also has many loving and caring nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild and son-in-law, Robert Allen.

Memorials are preferred to First Presbyterian Church or the donor’s choice.
