Funeral services for Margaret Lillian Becker, age 82, of Alden will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. Pastor Peter Soli will officiate. Burial will be at the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the Church.

Margaret died Friday, May 12, 2006, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.

Margaret Lillian Becker was born Sept. 6, 1923, in Alden, the daughter of Levi and Olive (Stoddart) Tomlinson. She attended and graduated from Alden High School in 1941. On December 6, 1945, Margaret was united in marriage to William F. Becker at Grace Lutheran Church, Alden. The couple lived and farmed north of Alden all of their married life. Margaret enjoyed playing cards, cooking, baking, doing puzzles and exhibiting at the county fair. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Women’s circle, a 61 year member of the Freeborn American Legion Auxiliary and the Wells VFW., also the Freeborn County Farm Bureau and the Carlston Country Gals (a circle of very close friends).

Margaret is survived by her children, Duane and wife Vickie Becker of Freeborn and Darlene and husband Vernon Breamer of Minnesota Lake. Grandchildren: Valeria Becker, LaRae and husband Andy Cassens, James Becker and special friend Meggan, Scott and wife Susan Breamer and Kimberly Breamer.

Great-grandchildren: Emily Cassens and Clayton Irvin. Sister; Lorraine Reim, Albert Lea, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Beck, Conger, LaVerna and husband Orven Charleson, Lake Mills and Arvilla Paulson, Alden. Nieces: Jan Doyle, Clarice Bakken, Twyla

Paulson Rubin, Barb O’Brien, Jane Allmann and Donna Holton,

nephews: Whitney Reim, Robert Beck, Larry Beck and Curt Charleson.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband William in 1996, brothers-in-law, Leo Reim, Donald Paulson, Edwin Beck and Art and wife Ruby Becker and nephews, Rodney and Charles Reim.
