FARIBAULT &045;&160;Faribault used a four-run sixth inning to earn a come-from-behind victory over Albert Lea in the team’s final game before it begins section play Thursday.

The Tigers scored all three runs in the first three innings, but were unable to take advantage of a couple of key scoring situations.

Ben Berhow got the Tigers on the board in the second inning blasting a solo home run. That was followed by a Levi Langseth double and he would come around to score on a Nate Goodnature sacrifice fly.

The Tigers would increase their lead to 3-0 in the third when Josh Jordahl singled, courtesy runner Mitch Wenum moved to third on a Berhow single and he scored on a Langseth double.

However, more important than the runs the team scored were the ones it was unable to push across the plate.

Albert Lea left the bases loaded in the second and had runners on second and third and no outs in the third and failed to score.

&8220;We feel like we can compete with anyone in our section, but we have to do a better job of being more productive with runners in scoring position,&8221; said Albert Lea head coach Joe Sczublewski.

The Falcons would score once in the bottom of the third and use three walks and some fortunate

bloop hits to put four runs on the board in the bottom of the sixth.

Albert Lea would put the tying run on base in the seven but could not bring him in.

Jordahl pitched the first four innings for the Tigers striking out one and walking four. D.J. Kjos and Taylor Ignaszewski worked the final two.

Langseth finished the night with a pair of hits &045;&160;both doubles &045;&160;as did Berhow while David Hird, Jordahl, Matt Schumann and Arik Matson added one hit apiece.

The Tigers concluded the regular season with an overall record of 9-11.
