The Albert Lea Colonels finally put it all together Wednesday night against Owatonna in a 12-0 seven inning victory.

&8220;It was nice to have a game where we played well offensively and defensively,&8221; said head coach Bill Trygstad. &8220;We really hadn’t done it all year but we showed what we are capable of.&8221;

Alex Hansen went the distance for the Colonels giving up just two hits, striking out four and not issuing a walk.

Devin Kaasa got things going with a walk, Zac Oquist singled and Matt Trygstad drove them both in with a base knock. Ryan Wangen plated Trygstad and Kris Pleiss added another run with an RBI ground out. Andrew Greibrok would also bring home a run and both Kaasa and Oquist would drive

balls down the line to bring in two runs apiece.

&8220;We lost to Owatonna 11-8 earlier in the season and we didn’t feel like we should have lost that game,&8221; said Bill Trygstad. &8220;We got a good pitching performance &045;&160;they didn’t hit any balls hard and we played good defense &045;&160;and hopefully we can carry this into Friday’s game with New Richland.&8221;

Oquist, had three hits on the night for Albert Lea while Matt Trygstad, Wangen and Greibrok each had two.
