Funeral services for Harriet Olivia. Hinkley, age 97, of Alden will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Peter Soli will officiate. Interment will be in the Alden Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at Bayview.

Harriet died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.

Harriet Olivia Hinkley was born Jan. 1, 1909, to James C. and Anna M. (Christenson) Anderson in Freeborn County. On July 6, 1935, she was united in marriage to Raymond L. Hinkley in St. Paul. Harriet had lived in Alden for over 50 years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and had been active in the Altar Guild for 25 years. Harriet lived at Luther Place in Albert Lea for several years and, most recently, with her daughter, Ruth, in Alden. She loved cooking and playing cards.

Survivors include her son, Thomas and his wife, Karen Hinkley of Clear Lake; daughters, Ruth and husband, Larry Lillibridge of Alden and Betty and her husband, Arlen Steele of Stewartville; grandchildren: Cindy Seipp of Baltimore, Md., Steve Hinkley of Alfretta, Ga., Peggy Johnson of Alden, Renae Dolton of Alden, Mike Lillibridge of Conger, Heidi Hensch of Alden, Ellen Gurnsey of St. Cloud, Jason Steele of Rochester, Dustin Steele of Minneapolis, and Darin Steele, also of Minneapolis; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Floyd and Doris Hinkley, Vernon and Alice Hinkley, Dr. Bill and Gladys Misckoff, and Eleanor Fjone.

Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; son George; daughter-in-law, Sharon; grandson, Wayne; parents; two brothers; and six sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Crossroads Community Hospice.
